Beginnings in Tech: Embracing the Journey

Inspirations

Origin stories are important. Creation myths often leave out lots of key if messy details. Survivor bias combined with apocyphal tales are great reading, but leaves me feeling hollow. I find a lot to love in the Build in Public movement. There is something about the minutae, the small grinds, the anxious honesty that resonates with me. My projects often fail, not from opposition, but indifference. Sharing real stories in close to real time gives one a chance to Buildi an audience and start the feedback flywheel.

I don't really have a philosophy or hypothesis fully formed yet, but the practice of out loud reflection and the discipline of doing so daily are what I'm aiming for.
